Qualifications

  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague or ERP systems; third-party integrations a plus.
  • Experience with SAP BusinessObjects reporting and dashboards.
  • MS 365 tools proficiency including Word, Excel, SharePoint and Power Automate.

Job Summary

The Programmer Analyst is primarily responsible for defining and analyzing college ERP systems issues, and for solving, designing, and implementing solutions that address those issues. Works extensively with other college employees to help them define needs and to translate those needs into system specifications. Also works with colleagues on designing and implementing data integrations between ERP system and applications. The Programmer Analyst works as part of a cross-trained team maintaining and improving mission-critical business including the college’s ERP system [student, financial, human resource, and payroll systems] and other related enterprise applications.

Job Description
  • 20% Design, develop, implement, test, and support workflow, automation, and programming within and between ERP and ancillary systems.
  • 20% Develop internal working relationships in order to effectively communicate and support client needs. Partner with college employees to analyze and define business requirements and functional specifications and recommend solutions. Perform functional application setup, configuration, and testing with employees.
  • 15% Develop and maintain system documentation of issues and solutions resolved through troubleshooting tickets assigned through the college’s Solution Center.
  • 15% Perform project management functions by scheduling and conducting a variety of meetings necessary to complete projects. Participate in meetings and/or serve on assigned committees.
  • 15% Communicate issues, critical problems and situations to appropriate managers, both users and IS. Identify and resolve data, reporting and other application systems problems. Communicate solutions to users in an effective and efficient manner.
  • 15% Complete other responsibilities necessary for fulfilling this role and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

Qualifications - Experience
  • Minimum of two years programming or combination of programming and systems analysis. High level of competence in at least one programming language. Familiarity with operating systems, SQL, and reporting tools.
  • Experience with ETL technologies; strong knowledge of SQL programming and relational database technologies. Proficiency in coding, testing, documentation, and system troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague or other ERP systems, including user account setup and maintenance, system configuration, troubleshooting and resolving application issues, and supporting business operations across student, financial, HR, and payroll modules. Experience developing or maintaining integrations with third-party applications is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP BusinessObjects, including designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards; ability to translate business requirements into meaningful data visualizations; and strong understanding of report scheduling, distribution, and performance optimization.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite of products, including proficiency with Word, and Excel, as well as experience using SharePoint for collaboration and Power Automate for workflow automation.
