About the Role

Our client, an established non-profit organization committed to empowering young people through impactful development programs in the Queenstown area, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Programme Manager . This role is central to the design, implementation, and successful delivery of youth development initiatives, focusing on skills training, mentorship, and educational support. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, project management expertise, and a genuine passion for youth empowerment. This is an on-site position, requiring the successful candidate to be based in or near Queenstown to effectively manage programs and engage directly with participants, community stakeholders, and partner organizations. You will play a key role in shaping the futures of young individuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of all youth development programmes
• Manage programme budgets, ensuring responsible financial stewardship and adherence to funding requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, community leaders, and relevant government agencies in the Queenstown region
• Recruit, train, and supervise programme facilitators and mentors
• Monitor programme activities and participant progress, ensuring high-quality service delivery
• Collect and analyze programme data, preparing reports for funders, management, and stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for programme enhancement and expansion
• Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and community outreach events
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant child protection regulations

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Education, Community Development, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in programme management, youth development, or community work
• Proven experience in managing projects with defined budgets and outcomes
• Strong understanding of youth development principles and best practices
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
• Must be able to commit to working on-site in Queenstown and demonstrate a strong connection to the local community
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation of programmes is essential
