Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Solutions Estimator 2 to bridge the gap between junior estimators and senior professionals. You will prepare accurate cost estimates for large-scale RFPs, greenfield projects, and complex scopes, working with programmatic customers and cross-functional teams to ensure competitive pricing and feasible timelines.

You will analyze requirements, vendor pricing, and project documents while mentoring junior team members and aligning estimates with Convergint’s pricing

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in estimating, project management, or system design for physical security projects.
• Experience with large-scale RFPs, greenfield opportunities, and programmatic customer projects.
• Strong understanding of vertical market requirements (healthcare, data centers, government, education, financial institutions).
• Ability to read and analyze construction documents, drawings, specifications, and technical scopes.
• Proficiency in estimating software, Excel, and project collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for large-scale RFPs and complex scopes.
• Bridge the gap between entry-level estimators and senior design professionals, overseeing medium-to-large opportunities.
• Analyze project requirements, specifications, and technical documents to understand scope, risks, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management to reflect accurate costs, resources, and timelines.
• Source pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and partners to meet project specs.
• Mentor Solutions Estimator 1 team members on estimating tools and processes.
