Job summary

Convergint seeks a full-time Solutions Estimator to bridge entry-level and senior estimating teams, delivering accurate cost estimates for large-scale RFPs, greenfield projects, and complex scopes for programmatic customers in Las Vegas, NV.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement and PM teams to ensure estimates reflect costs and timelines, source pricing, and contribute to competitive proposals while growing within Convergint's culture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in estimating, project management, or system design for electronic physical security.
• Experience with large-scale RFPs, greenfield opportunities, and programmatic projects.
• Ability to read construction documents, drawings, specifications, and technical scopes.
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software.
• Knowledge of materials and subcontractor coordination for physical security systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for large-scale RFPs, greenfield projects, and complex scopes.
• Bridge the gap between entry-level estimating and senior professionals, taking ownership of medium-to-large opportunities.
• Analyze project requirements, specifications, and technical documents to understand scope, risks, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and project management to ensure accurate costs, resources, and timelines.
• Evaluate project scopes, interpret blueprints, analyze costs, and influence pricing feasibility.
• Participate in site walks, pre-bid meetings, and technical discussions to assess needs.
• Source pricing from vendors, subcontractors, and partners to meet specifications.
• Mentor and guide Solutions Estimator 1 team members on tools, processes, and standards.
• Identify scope gaps and value engineering opportunities to provide innovative solutions.
• Prepare professional proposals with technical details, pricing, and justification.
• Work with installation teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of estimates.
• Stay updated on regulations, pricing, and industry standards.
• Track project costs and margins to optimize pricing strategies.
• Support senior leaders on large or specialized projects.
