The Programmatic Advertising Senior Strategist (Retail Media) is a seasoned, data-driven professional responsible for developing and executing strategic programmatic advertising initiatives within the retail media landscape. This role is essential in designing and scaling high-performance programmatic strategies, creating full-funnel commerce solutions, and delivering measurable results for clients.
The Senior Strategist will utilize expertise in platforms such as Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, advanced measurement tools, and the broader retail media ecosystem to deliver innovative solutions aligned with clients' business objectives. As a key partner to clients, internal teams, and retail media platforms, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of programmatic advertising within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead development, execution, and optimization of programmatic display and video campaigns on platforms like Amazon DSP and The Trade Desk.
- Drive full-funnel commerce strategies for planning and activating programmatic campaigns, collaborating with retail search teams for seamless integration.
- Utilize Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC) to activate custom audiences and implement advanced programmatic strategies.
- Manage regular client communications to review campaign performance, discuss trends, and identify growth opportunities.
- Oversee input for annual media plans, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve client performance through innovative, data-driven solutions.
- Build strong relationships with programmatic and retail partners for strategic collaboration.
- Lead updates during reporting sessions, such as QBRs and planning meetings.
- Guide account strategy development, including budgeting, KPI setting, and industry trend analysis.
- Drive new business development and client expansion.
- Leverage analytics and reporting tools to refine strategies and achieve results.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in programmatic advertising, including 2-3 years managing retail media campaigns.
- 5+ years in a client-facing role, preferably with small to medium-sized brands.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in BI or data analytics.
- Deep understanding of DSP platforms such as Amazon DSP, Walmart, The Trade Desk, and Criteo.
- Experience managing multiple channels (Display, Video, Audio, Native, DOOH).
- Proficiency with Amazon Marketing Cloud and other commerce platforms.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
