About the Position:

  • Providing specialized technical and administrative support for overseeing, establishing, maintaining, and auditing non‑criminal justice fingerprint‑based, name‑based, and portal user accounts.
  • Responding to inquiries from the public regarding new accounts, managing and updating (Non-Criminal Justice Interface) NCJI portal users, and assisting with billing‑related questions.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge:

  • General knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • General knowledge of standard English grammar, punctuation, spelling and usage in written communications.

Skills:

  • Skill in the use of personal computers and automated office equipment.
  • Skill in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Skill in data entry.
  • Skill in keyboarding.

Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement and apply prescribed policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently across various systems and applications concurrently.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply Virginia statutes in creating accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve customer account issues.Demonstrated ability to work independently, to follow instructions and pay close attention to details.
  • Demonstrated ability to enter and validate data and information.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work assignments with other team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with internal and external personnel.
  • Experience providing administrative, technical, or customer service support in an office environment.
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
