The Program Support Specialist provides administrative support forthe Golisano Intellectual and Developmental Disability Initiative(GIDDI). Assists with administrative operations, grant compliance,and implementation of grant funded activities according to grantspecifications.

Job Description
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assists with award oversight to ensure grant compliance and thesuccessful running of post-award activities.
- Assists with the administrative oversight of grant relatedactivities through budget monitoring, record keeping, deadlineoversight, and report completion.
- Provides administrative support to include maintainingschedule/calendar, screening telephone communication, greeting anddirecting visitors, and resolving administrative problems andinquiries.
- Completes transfer requests, reconciles expendituretransactions, maintains accounting records, and other transactionalduties related to award administration.
- Fulfills purchasing requirements for assigned area, researchingitems and obtaining price quotes, entering information intouniversity systems, receiving purchase orders, maintaining P-Cardinformation, and reconciling purchases.
- Composes and prepares written documents, flyers, andcorrespondence including reports, memos, meeting materials,letters, presentations, and spreadsheets.
- Establishes and maintains systems for administration of recordsfor the area, including electronic files, records, anddatabases.
- Supports website and social media communications.
- Schedules and assists with on and off campus information andeducation activities, including coordinating GIDDI ambassadorshifts and supporting related work tasks.
- Assists with event planning including room reservations,equipment, materials and communications
- Provides administrative support for the hiring of OPS andstudent employees to assist with post award work and projects.
- Collaborates with the Office of Research and Sponsored Programsto ensure compliance and adherence to policies and procedures.
Other Duties:
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- This position requires a high school diploma and two years offull-time experience directly related to the position.
- Experience with consumer-level design software.
- Experience operating a personal computer and proficient withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience,and/or certifications may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a relatedfield.
- Experience with intellectually and developmentally disabledindividuals.
- Experience working in higher education.

- Knowledge of budget control principles, practices andprocedures.
- Knowledge of various funding agency rules and regulations asthey pertain to grant/contract administration.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communicationskills.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize andcomplete simultaneous projects when numerous and competing demandsare involved.
- Ability to operate personal computers with proficiency andlearn new applications and systems.
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records, files, andreports.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with staff,faculty, students, and the community in a service-orientedenvironment.
- Ability to seek and utilize support resources available oncampus.
- Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned andtimely decisions.
