Job summary

RTX is seeking a Program Supplier Quality Engineer (PSQE) to support the Advanced Technology unit. The role partners with program quality engineering across the full lifecycle, including development, production, and sustainment, ensuring alignment with AS9100, AS9145, and APQP standards.

The position is hybrid, based in New England or Texas, with 25% domestic travel to supplier locations and additional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Typical requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering field, or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
• Experience with Quality Management standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions.
• Experience interpreting schematic drawings and validating compliance, hardware inspection techniques and documentation reviews.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Identify supplier risks and develop actionable engagement plans to mitigate these risks effectively.
• Ensure proper flow down of product and process requirements to sub-tier suppliers through purchase orders, quality notes, and statements of work.
• Interpret program requirements to ensure supply base understands and complies with these quality requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve issues related to schematic drawings, nonconformance, and contractual compliance.
• Oversee and/or conduct on-site activities, including source surveillance, source inspections, First Article Verification (FAI), and corrective action reviews.
• Drive continuous product and process improvements within the supply base using RCCA, Product & Process Verifications, and Six Sigma/Lean methodologies.
• Apply APQP processes to enhance supplier performance and improve manufacturing processes.
• Provide performance feedback to suppliers and communicate quality information to internal stakeholders.
• Travel domestically to support supplier assessments, audits, and reviews; ~25% travel typical.
