Job summary

YAI is seeking a Program Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensure safety, and support individuals in our Little Neck-based program in a Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm schedule. You will manage staff, oversee budgets and documentation, and foster collaboration with families and the broader team.

The role requires strong supervisory experience, a BA/BS preferred, and background in IDD or mental health. Valid driver’s license preferred; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• BA/BS strongly preferred
• Prior supervisory experience required
• Prior Direct Support Professional experience preferred
• Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensuring health, safety, and habilitation of the people we support.
• Providing appropriate supervision in residence, day program or community.
• Developing professional relationships with family members and team.
• Leading interdisciplinary team and staff meetings.
• Overseeing program operations and ensuring compliance with agency policies.
• Hiring staff and maintaining staff relations.
• Managing program budgets and financial records.
• Maintaining documentation including medical and treatment records.
• Reporting incidents and supporting investigations.
• Ensuring a harassment-free work environment.
