Job summary

Community Services Group (CSG) is hiring a Program Supervisor for its IDD Residential Program in the United States. The role oversees daily operations of community homes and supports self-determination principles, reporting to the Program Manager.

Typical schedule is full-time (40 hours/week) with on-call requirements. Wage starts at $22/hr with potential to earn up to $26/hr depending on location and shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience in programs for individuals with mental illness/IDD.
• Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct support staff, assist in interviewing, hiring, orienting and training.
• Participate in on-call system for Community Homes and Supervisors.
• Ensure health, safety and welfare of individuals in the program.
• Coordinate schedules, activities and routines to promote community participation.
• Transport individuals to meetings, appointments or community activities.
• Communicate with families and professionals as part of the service team.
• Maintain records for inventory and funds; manage petty cash.
• Adhere to program budget for food, supplies.

Summary:

The Program Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of one or more community homes, community participation support services or community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Program Supervisor is responsible for the delegation of work, assignment of duties, completion of tasks of direct support staff and for supporting the principles and values of self-determination, in accordance with Community Services Group policies and applicable regulations. The Program Supervisor reports directly to the Program Manager.

This position is part of our IDD Residential Program.

Schedule: FT (40 hours)/week with flexibility required. On-call is required.

Wage Information:

Base rate of pay $22/hr. with the potential to earn up to $26/hr. depending on location and shift.

Job Description:

• Serves as the direct supervisor of the direct support staff and assists in interviewing, hiring, orienting and training.

• Participates in the company’s on-call system (Community Homes and Community-Based Program Supervisors only).

• Ensures the health, safety and welfare of the individuals within the program.

• Coordinates and ensures the development of schedules, activities and routines and actively promotes opportunities for individuals to participate in community integrated activities.

• Transports and/or coordinates transportation for individuals in personal or company vehicles for meetings, appointments or community activities.

• Serves as an active member of the service team in the coordination of services and communicates relevant information to families and other professionals as necessary.

• Oversees and maintains records pertaining to inventory, both for company owned property and possessions belonging to individuals.

• Accounts for all individual funds and petty cash funds; maintains an adequate supply of funds for the individuals and the home.

• Adheres to the program budget for food, household and operating supplies.

• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics.

• Performs job responsibilities of direct care staff.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, and 1 year working experience in programs for individuals with mental illness/intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Additional requirements include:

• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individuals to appointments.

• Must be able to work flexible hours.
