Job summary

Community Services Group is seeking a Full-Time Program Manager in New York to lead the IDD Community Participation Support program. You will supervise staff, ensure health and safety, coordinate trainings, and oversee daily operations in line with company policies.

The role reports to the Program Director and offers a base wage of $23.67/hr with potential increases for relevant IDD experience. The team focuses on inclusion and community integration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 1 year supervisory experience with IDD/mental illness.
• Bachelor’s degree, 2 years IDD/mental illness experience and 1 year supervisory experience.
• Associate degree/60 credits, 4 years IDD/mental illness experience and 1 year supervisory experience (except ICF/MR).
• High school diploma or equivalency, 6 years IDD/mental illness experience and 1 year supervisory experience (except ICF/MR).

Responsibilities

• Supervises Program Supervisors and evaluates staff performance per policies.
• Interviews, hires, orients, and trains supervisors and direct support staff.
• Directs daily operations and ensures program effectiveness.
• Ensures health, safety, and welfare of individuals in the program.
• Provides training on Incident Management and Medication Administration Training as needed.
• Supports coverage in homes and participates in on-call system.
• Promotes inclusion, recovery, and community integration for individuals.
• Maintains documentation per company/state/federal regulations.

Summary:

At CSG, as Full-Time Program Manager, you will provide leadership and program oversight in the supervision of intellectual and developmental disability (IDD) Community Participation Support program. You will also be responsible for communicating and fostering company values and philosophies as well as general program management. The Program Manager is directly supervised by the Program Director.

Wage Information:

Base Rate $23.67/hr. with increase possible based on relevant IDD experience.

Job Description:

• Supervises Program Supervisors, monitors and evaluates employee performance according to company performance management policies and procedures.

• Collaborates and cooperates with the hiring specialist in interviewing, hiring, orienting, and training supervisors and direct support staff.

• Directs and ensures effectiveness of program’s daily operations.

• Ensures the health, safety and welfare of the individuals within the program.

• Provides training and oversight related to the program’s Incident Management.

• Provides training, including Medication Administration Training, as required.

• Supports Program Supervisors in managing coverage in the homes.

• Participates in the company’s on-call system. (Community Homes and Community-Based Program Managers only)

• Enhances quality of the individuals’ lives by promoting inclusion, recovery and integration into the community.

• Facilitates regular staff meetings and ensures communication with and from company management.

• Ensures implementation of individual program and behavioral plans and activities.

• Oversees the maintenance and completion of documentation required by the company, state or federal regulations, etc.

• Transports individuals in personal or company vehicles for meetings, appointments or community activities.

• Serves as an active member of the service team in the coordination of services.

• Accounts for the management of program budgets, petty cash and the oversight of the financial transactions of the individuals.

• Oversees and maintains records pertaining to inventory, both for company owned property and possessions belonging to individuals, as applicable to the program.

• Performs job responsibilities of the Program Supervisors directly (Residential and Community Based) or Lifesharing Specialists (Lifesharing), when required.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, 1 year experience working directly with persons with mental illness/intellectual and developmental disabilities and 1 year supervisory experience.

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, 2 years of experience working directly with persons with mental illness/intellectual and developmental disabilities and 1 year supervisory experience.

• An associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university, 4 years of experience working directly with persons with mental illness/intellectual and developmental disabilities and 1 year supervisory experience (except in the ICF/MR setting).

• High school diploma or equivalency, 6 years of work experience working directly with persons with mental illness/intellectual and developmental disabilities and 1 year supervisory experience (except in the ICF/MR setting).

Additional requirements include:

• Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individuals to appointments.

• Must be able to work flexible hours.
