Job summary

Jobtailor in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking an interdisciplinary ABA Therapist to conduct behavioral assessments (VB-MAPP, SSIS, FAST, Skills Streaming, EFL) and design individualized intervention plans for children with ASD. You will provide direct ABA services and help families through training and collaboration.

This role requires a BA/BS in a related field with ABA experience, strong data collection skills, and the ability to travel between sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field and 2 years of ABA experience required.
  • Significant knowledge of ABA and familiarity with the ABA field.
  • Experience implementing and/or designing ABA programs for individuals with ASD and other diagnoses.
  • California Driver’s License with insurance and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments (VB-MAPP, SSIS, FAST, Skills Streaming, and EFL).
  • Develop and implement individualized ABA intervention plans based on assessment results and ABA best practices.
  • Provide direct ABA services to children with ASD and other diagnoses.
  • Supervise and mentor caregivers and direct care staff, ensuring treatment fidelity and providing ongoing support and training.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and professionals involved in clients’ care.
  • Monitor client progress through data collection and analysis and adjust treatment plans based on data.
  • Maintain accurate client records, progress notes, session notes, and assessment reports.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise.
  • Stay current with ABA research and developments and participate in professional development.
  • Travel occasionally between offices and client homes and work across multiple sites.

Education

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field and 2 years of ABA experience required
  • Candidates with at least 12 semester units in ABA may be considered if close to meeting the experience requirement
  • Significant knowledge of ABA as a discipline and familiarity with the ABA field
  • Knowledge of community resources and agencies serving children
  • Experience implementing and/or designing ABA programs for individuals with ASD and other diagnoses
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and related computer software
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, lift up to 40 lbs, and spend time on one’s feet
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA practices and adherence to policies
  • Valid California Driver’s License with insurance and a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple work sites and client homes
  • Ability to pass health screenings, obtain required vaccinations, and clear TB testing
  • Criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice
  • Clearance through the Office of Inspector General
  • CPR, Safety Care, and National Provider Identifier (NPI) certifications
  • Ability to manage physical and emotional demands, including exposure to disability disorders, emergency situations, and trauma
  • American Sign Language or bilingual skills preferred
