Job summary

Compass Housing Alliance, a division of Lutheran Community Services Northwest, provides housing, essential services and emergency shelter in the Puget Sound region. The role supports leadership, program operations, and staff supervision within a trauma-informed environment, aligning with Compass Housing Alliance’s mission and care philosophy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a human service setting dealing with housing instability or supportive housing, mental health, substance use, employment insecurity, domestic violence, required.
• Awareness and/or training around belonging, compassion, and meeting people where they are, preferred.
• Current WA State Food Handlers Permit, preferred (If not current, will be sponsored within 1-month of hire).
• Valid WA driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a driving record that meets Compass standards, required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of program and liaise with partnered support services such as local foodbank, OSL, CEA, Shelter providers and others.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics as required by funders and the agency.
• Provide supportive crisis counseling and case management support to program participants as needed.
• Supervise and support direct service staff, manage staff schedules and shift coverage, oversee HMIS data quality and compliance.
