Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability in Bay Shore, NY, is seeking a Program Supervisor to lead health, safety, and habilitation of the individuals we support. This full-time role follows a Monday–Friday schedule and requires strong supervisory leadership.

You will facilitate interdisciplinary meetings, oversee budgets and records, coordinate with families, and ensure compliant operations while maintaining a safe, harassment-free work environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree strongly preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Direct Support Professional experience preferred.
• Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring health, safety, and habilitation of the people we support per agency practices.
• Providing appropriate, therapeutically documented supervision in residences, day programs or community.
• Providing program/floor coverage when necessary.
• Leading and facilitating interdisciplinary team meetings and staff meetings.
• Attending regional and agency supervisor meetings as directed.
• Planning meetings for the people we support and coordinating with families.
• Overseeing interagency collaboration and maintaining organizational culture.
• Maintaining records, budgets, and compliance; reporting incidents and investigations.

## Program SupervisorApply: Bay Shore - 1366 N Windsor Ave: Full time: Posted Yesterday: R025649If you are a current YAI employee, please click this link to apply through your Workday account.**Program*** North Windsor IRA**Location*** Bay Shore - 1366 N Windsor Ave**Schedule** *(Full time)** Monday - Friday: 10:00am - 6:00pm**Key responsibilities*** Ensuring health, safety, and habilitation of the people we support consistent with agency philosophy and department practices.* Ensuring the appropriate, therapeutically documented level of supervision in the residence, day program or community to ensure and protect the health and/or safety of the people we support.* Providing program/floor coverage, when necessary.* Promoting and maintaining the excellence of the programs* Developing professional, empathic relationships with family members ensuring they are included in the team process.* Leading and facilitating interdisciplinary team meetings and staff meetings to ensure effective communication. Attend regional and agency supervisor meeting or as directed by your supervisor. Attending and actively participating in the planning meeting for the people we support.* Fostering interagency collaboration* Bringing the organizational culture to life* Ensuring a work environment that is free from harassment and discrimination* Playing an active role in the hiring process; interviewing and selecting appropriate staff based on program needs* Maintaining direct relationship with staff* Building staff morale* Fostering professional development through regular supervision, training, and evaluations.* Supervising staff to ensure they are meeting the needs of the people we support and agency standards.* Utilizing participatory management* Fostering the Open-Door Policy* Maintaining oversight and compliance of systems specific to role and responsibilities* Fostering communication and maintaining professional between relevant supports including those within the program, within the agency, and supports outside the agency* Overseeing all financial systems, maintaining records for the people we support and program expenditures.* Operating the program within budgetary guidelines.* Maintaining a safe environment for staff and the people we support and reporting any hazardous conditions.* Ensuring the completion and maintenance of all paperwork and written records related to individual treatment.
