Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability in Pleasantville, NY is seeking a Program Supervisor to ensure health, safety, and habilitation of the people we support, guiding team leadership and program operations in line with agency philosophy.

Qualifications

## Program SupervisorApplylocations: Westchester Countytime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R025408If you are a current YAI employee, please click this link to apply through your Workday account.**Program*** Pleasantville IRA**Location*** Pleasantville - Brentwood Drive**Schedule*** Full-time**Key responsibilities:*** Ensuring health, safety, and habilitation of the people we support consistent with agency philosophy and department practices.* Ensuring the appropriate, therapeutically documented level of supervision in the residence, day program or community to ensure and protect the health and/or safety of the people we support.* Providing program/floor coverage, when necessary.* Promoting and maintaining the excellence of the programs* Developing professional, empathic relationships with family members ensuring they are included in the team process.* Leading and facilitating interdisciplinary team meetings and staff meetings to ensure effective communication. Attend regional and agency supervisor meeting or as directed by your supervisor. Attending and actively participating in the planning meeting for the people we support.* Fostering interagency collaboration* Bringing the organizational culture to life* Ensuring a work environment that is free from harassment and discrimination* Playing an active role in the hiring process; interviewing and selecting appropriate staff based on program needs* Maintaining direct relationship with staff* Building staff morale* Fostering professional development through regular supervision, training, and evaluations.* Supervising staff to ensure they are meeting the needs of the people we support and agency standards.* Utilizing participatory management* Fostering the Open-Door Policy* Maintaining oversight and compliance of systems specific to role and responsibilities* Fostering communication and maintaining professional between relevant supports including those within the program, within the agency, and supports outside the agency* Overseeing all financial systems, maintaining records for the people we support and program expenditures.* Operating the program within budgetary guidelines.* Maintaining a safe environment for staff and the people we support and reporting any hazardous conditions.* Ensuring the completion and maintenance of all paperwork and written records related to individual treatment. This includes but is not limited to medical records, treatment records, progress reports, data collection, behavior reports, incident reports, billing records, and all written communication systems.* Reporting and monitoring incidents, as well as assist with the investigative process.* Required to perform your responsibilities as they currently exist or may change in meeting the needs of the department, under the supervision of your supervisor/manager.**Education and Experience:*** BA/BS strongly preferred* Prior supervisory experience required* Prior Direct Support Professional experience preferred* Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health preferred**Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills* Well-developed writing skills* Takes initiative* Highly flexible personality type* Valid Driver's License preferred depending on location* Flexibility to respond to calls and programmatic needs beyond regular work hours* Proficient in Microsoft Office* Ability to learn/use Workforce Management software to effectively carry out essential business processes**Compensation**:$66,300.00 (Annual Salary)
