Job summary

Franklin County Children and Youth Services seeks a Program Specialist II to oversee required data entry, collection, analysis, and submission for C&Y and to develop, coordinate, and implement internal policies and procedures. You will support child welfare programs and quality assurance initiatives, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

The role involves planning, coordinating services, assisting with budget development, and providing technical guidance to C&Y providers.

Qualifications

• METs for the job: one year as a Children, Youth and Families Program Specialist 1; or three years of professional level experience in the field of children, youth and families; and a bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Oversees child welfare data entry, collection, analysis and submission for C&Y.
• Provides planning, development, and coordination of C&Y programs and services.
• Provides technical assistance to C&Y providers with contract development and maintenance, and to ensure DPW regulations and County policies and procedures.
• Development of internal policies and procedures.
• Assist and aid in the development of the annual C&Y Needs-based Plan and Budget according to established guidelines.
• Prepares reports analyzing C&Y services and other reports as required.
• Reviews proposals for C&Y services.
• Serves on various state, regional and local committees as required.
• Completes Quality Assurance reviews for the agency.
• Utilizes personal computer and other office equipment as needed.
• Supervises Special grants or programs as assigned.
