Franklin County Children and Youth Services seeks a Program Specialist II to oversee required data entry, collection, analysis, and submission for C&Y and to develop, coordinate, and implement internal policies and procedures. You will support child welfare programs and quality assurance initiatives, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

The role involves planning, coordinating services, assisting with budget development, and providing technical guidance to C&Y providers.

Qualificações

• METs for the job: one year as a Children, Youth and Families Program Specialist 1; or three years of professional level experience in the field of children, youth and families; and a bachelor's degree; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsabilidades

• Assist and aid in the development of the annual C&Y Needs-based Plan and Budget according to established guidelines.
• Prepares reports analyzing C&Y services and other reports as required.
• Reviews proposals for C&Y services.
• Serves on various state, regional and local committees as required.
• Completes Quality Assurance reviews for the agency.
• Utilizes personal computer and other office equipment as needed.
• Supervises Special grants or programs as assigned.

Position Description

Position: Program Specialist II (Children and Youth Services). Exempt.

Overall Objective of Job

To oversee the completion, collection, analysis, and submission of required child welfare data. To plan, develop, coordinate, and implement internal policies and procedures; to plan, develop, coordinate, and implement child welfare programs and initiatives; to plan, develop, coordinate, and implement for the Children and Youth Service a quality assurance program. And, to ensure that these programs are in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

Essential Functions of Job

Receives occasional instruction and supervision from the Children and Youth Director regarding daily work duties.

Supervision of assigned caseworkers in the Children & Youth Department.
