Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst (Level 2 or 3) to join our team to manage detailed schedules across multiple programs and coordinate with cross‑functional teams and leadership.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years (Level 2) or 5+ years (Level 3) of experience in program planning and scheduling, as well as proficiency with MS Office and scheduling tools. DoD Secret clearance is required or can be pursued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of professional experience in program/project planning and scheduling (Level 2) or 5+ years (Level 3).
• Strong PC skills and proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with scheduling software (MS Project 2016, Open Plan, PS3, Primavera P6, Milestone Professional, Deltek and SSI Tools).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis for multiple programs and contracts.
• Make recommendations to solve problems, create presentation content and present to leadership.
• Interface with multiple functional teams and Program/Project Manager.
• Prepare, develop, and coordinate the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet objectives.
• Implement scheduling best practices including DCMA 14-point, IPMR DI-MGMT-81861, EVMS, and SRA.
• Provide weekly status and reporting; conduct IBR/JSR audits.
