Job summary

Cavalry Construction & Restoration, a brand of American Restoration, is seeking a Program Restoration Estimator in Houston to lead plumbing restoration projects from start to finish. In-person role driving assessments, scopes, schedules, and cost estimates for residential and commercial properties.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in plumbing/restoration project management, strong blueprints and OSHA knowledge, and PMP/Xactimate familiarity.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in plumbing, restoration, or construction project management.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and water mitigation.
• Familiarity with insurance claims documentation and Xactimate.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage plumbing restoration projects from assessment to completion.
• Conduct site inspections to evaluate damage and system failures.
• Develop project scopes, timelines, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with plumbers, technicians, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor progress, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and stakeholders.
• Prepare reports, change orders, and permits.

For our Houston Texas location, we are seeking an experienced and driven Program Restoration Estimator to lead and oversee plumbing-related restoration projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and has a strong background in plumbing systems and project management.

You will play a critical role in restoring residential and commercial properties impacted by water damage, plumbing failures, or disaster events while ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage plumbing restoration projects from initial assessment through completion
• Conduct site inspections to evaluate plumbing damage, water intrusion, and system failures
• Develop project scopes, timelines, and cost estimates
• Coordinate with plumbers, technicians, subcontractors, and other trades
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and resource allocation
• Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, and stakeholders
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, change orders, and permits
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure quality control and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in plumbing, restoration, or construction project management
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, water mitigation, and restoration processes
• Knowledge of Xactimate
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus
• Familiarity with insurance claims and documentation procedures is preferred
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards

Compensation

• Base salary: $55,000-$60,000 per year
• Commission-based pay
• Vehicle allowance
