Job summary
Aeva Inc. is seeking a Program Operations Manager in Mountain View to drive planning, tracking, and execution of complex product development programs.
You will partner with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to create clear, actionable plans and scalable processes across Engineering, Product, Operations, and Supply Chain. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in program operations, strong analytical skills, and experience with Jira/Smartsheet/Confluence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Business, Operations or related field.
- 5+ years in program management or related roles.
- Experience with complex cross-functional hardware/software development programs.
- Strong planning, scheduling, dependencies, and critical path management.
- Experience with resource planning, change management, risk management, or governance processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to transform data into insights.
- Demonstrated ability to drive execution without direct authority.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented with bias toward action.
- Excellent written and verbal communication across engineering and leadership.
- Experience with Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, and spreadsheets.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Program Managers to improve planning, tracking, and execution of complex product development programs.
- Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.
- Drive key program processes including change management, resource planning, milestone tracking, risk management, and phase-gate readiness.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities and follow up on actions and deliverables to ensure on-time completion.
- Support resource planning by consolidating demand and identifying capacity gaps for leadership visibility.
- Support product and program change management with impact assessments, plans, approvals, timing, and comms.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs for leadership visibility into program health and risks.
- Identify opportunities to standardize PM processes, tools, templates, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain to align programs.
- Help establish scalable PMO infrastructure and best practices as the company grows.
- Support continuous improvement by addressing recurring execution gaps and lessons learned.

We are looking for a Program Operations Manager to help drive operational excellence across Aeva’s product and customer programs. This role will work closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to establish, streamline, and execute the processes and tools used to manage complex programs.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and process-oriented, with the ability to turn complex cross-functional activities into clear plans, actionable data, and scalable processes. This role will have broad visibility across Engineering, Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management and will play a key role in improving how Aeva plans, tracks, and executes its programs.
Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future.Depending on the position offered, equity, bonus, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, pre-tax commuter and health care/dependent care accounts, 401k plan, life and disability benefits, flexible time off, paid parental leave, and 11 paid holidays annually.
