Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Program Operations Specialist to support the Force Projection Sector's diverse project portfolio in Laurel, MD. You will partner with program leadership, technical staff, and support organizations to ensure efficient execution and alignment with sponsor requirements.

You will lead operational activities across the project lifecycle, develop SOPs, monitor compliance, coordinate meetings, and manage deliverables to maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years coordinating project operations, or 10+ years coordinating project operations in lieu of a degree.
• Proven ability to review and organize technical information and provide critical review of documents for technical content and style.
• Strong communication skills with experience interfacing with management, military and government officials.
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to prioritize competing efforts and solve problems.
• Willing to travel occasionally and work in a closed area as needed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with PMs and PjMs to ensure seamless program operations and drive timely delivery of contractual obligations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs to promote consistency and efficiency in project delivery.
• Monitor and coordinate operational compliance efforts across programs.
• Understand program objectives, sponsor priorities, and communicate activities to stakeholders.
• Prepare information for internal and external program reviews and sponsor engagements.
• Coordinate meetings, reviews, security, schedules, and other program activities to meet milestones.
