Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks an Operations Lead for MANTA initiatives in El Segundo, CA. The role drives manufacturing strategy and execution across complex programs, including NPI/transition to production, with a focus on cost, schedule, and manufacturability.

The candidate will coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain and must be able to travel up to 50% while maintaining security and production readiness in a high‑stakes defense environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree and minimum 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations for Manufacturing for a key and growing production sub-portfolio.
• Lead capacity & capability assessments and CORE engagements at key manufacturing partner suppliers.
• Lead Manufacturing Readiness Assessments and Production Readiness Reviews
• Develop production plans and conduct Production Performance Milestone reviews, per RLPM requirements.
• Lead development teams through PFMEA, PPAP and coordinating actions/mitigation plans in accordance with APQP
• Partner and collaborate with Program Office, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain throughout the product life cycle
• Engage in daily tier meetings and monthly SIOP reviews to drive quality, cost, schedule, and inventory targets
