Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Program Operations Manager to support strategic communications programs within the Resilient Connectivity Products portfolio. The role leads a PMO in manufacturing strategy, planning and execution for development programs, requiring active DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

This onsite Marlborough, MA position may travel up to 20% and could offer relocation assistance. Strong manufacturing and product development ops background in defense is desired.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
• Manufacturing Operations experience with Lean/Six Sigma background.
• Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Oversee execution of ongoing programs and coordinate between program management and support functions.
• Create artifacts for manufacturing strategy, proposals, gates, financials, and capital projects.
• Develop and manage operations content in proposals and EACs.
• Identify, monitor, and report program risks and opportunities; support Risk Review Board.
• Engage with product development, producibility, and how to make product.
• Plan at Gate 5 for new programs and ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Collaborate with engineering and supply chain on requirements flow down.
• Support TRR/MRR alignment to manufacturing plan and factory needs.
• Influence product designs to achieve cost/schedule targets via DFM/Cost workshops and APQP.
• Report on on-time delivery for both CMC and non‑CMC products.
• Support Gate 11 activities at close of development/production contracts.
