Placements24 is assisting a prominent charitable foundation in seeking a Programs Officer to lead poverty alleviation and sustainable development initiatives in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will design, implement, and monitor community-focused programs, working with local stakeholders and partners to ensure measurable outcomes.

The role requires a Master's in a related field, at least five years of program management experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Development Studies, Economics, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in development or poverty alleviation initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of poverty alleviation programs.
• Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies to identify priorities.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines with resource allocation.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, government officials, NGOs, and partners.
• Monitor activities, track progress against objectives, and report to the foundation.
