Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Community Sports Coordinator for Queenstown, Eastern Cape. This hybrid role combines on-site community engagement with office-based administration to deliver inclusive sports programs.

You will partner with schools, clubs, and volunteers to plan events, manage budgets, train volunteers, and monitor outcomes, while promoting healthy lifestyles and social inclusion across the community.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Sports Management, Community Development, or a related field.
• 1–3 years in program coordination, event management, or community engagement.
• Proven organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a range of community sports programs and events.
• Engage with community stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities.
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for program delivery.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local clubs and facilities.
• Promote participation and accessibility for all community members.
• Manage program budgets and resources effectively.
• Monitor and evaluate outcomes and provide regular reports.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety regulations.
• Contribute to new community sports initiatives.
