Job summary

UW Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Program Manager for Workforce Safety to lead data-driven strategies that reduce employee injury risk and strengthen a culture of safety.

You will partner with leaders, oversee reporting systems and ergonomic programs, and transform safety data into actionable insights that drive system-wide improvements for the well-being of team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in occupational health, injury prevention, safety programs, program management, or related work is required.
  • 3 years of experience analyzing data and identifying improvement opportunities is preferred.
  • Experience working within a healthcare system is preferred.

  • Lead and advance UW Health's workforce safety program through data-driven strategies that reduce employee injury risk and strengthen a culture of safety.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to identify trends, implement safety improvements, and drive meaningful outcomes for workforce well-being.

  • Transform safety data into actionable insights, education, and system-wide improvements that support team members across UW Health.

Work Schedule

Full-time, 100% FTE, hybrid position. Weekly schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional hours outside of that time frame. Hours could vary based on operational needs of the department.

Program Manager, Workforce Safety Reporting to:
  • Lead and advance UW Health's workforce safety program through data-driven strategies that reduce employee injury risk and strengthen a culture of safety.
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to identify trends, implement safety improvements, and drive meaningful outcomes for workforce well-being.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Required
  • Master's Degree in Occupational, Physical Therapy, Nursing, Health Administration, or related field. Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience in occupational health, injury prevention, safety programs, program management, or related work. Required
  • 3 years of experience analyzing data and identifying improvement opportunities. Preferred
  • 5 years of relevant experience in project/program management, healthcare operations, or workforce safety. Preferred
  • Experience using incident/event reporting systems. Preferred
  • Experience working within a healthcare system. Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Certification with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board or Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Wisconsin or RN with Certification in Occupational Health (Certified Occupational Health Nurse) Preferred
