Job summary

The Building People seeks a Program Manager to lead a government-focused Mission Support Services team. The role oversees onsite support across multiple locations and directs work, staffing, and client communications to ensure successful program execution.

Ideal candidates bring ten years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree, and proven leadership in high-paced environments. Telework may be adjusted per client requirements; salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with government personnel and manage a team of individuals providing onsite support across multiple locations.
  • Delegate work, training, and ensure quality outputs within contract timeframes.
  • Interface between government personnel and work teams to align specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Communicate regularly with customers to arrange meetings and discuss program status.
  • Oversee recruitment and hiring for the project and staff management.
  • Maintain regular communication with staff and subcontractors to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Provide status updates to customers and management and flag potential problems.
  • Forecast schedule delays and develop contingency plans.
  • Demonstrate project profitability understanding and job-costing.

We are, however, accepting applications for this anticipated need. The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Program Manager supporting our Mission Support Services business unit, working closely with senior leaders in the federal government to drive organizational strategy and execute mission critical program management.

This position will be responsible for the management of a team of individuals providing onsite government support across multiple locations in Billings, MT; Huron, South Dakota; Fort Peck, Montana; and Bismarck, North Dakota. Tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • The PM shall be responsible for delegating work, training, and ensuring that quality work products are produced within timeframes established by the Contract, the performance work statement, and Contracting Officials.
  • The PM shall be the focus of interface between government personnel for specific work teams.
  • Coordinates the operation of departments to confirm that assigned programs are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Regularly communicates with customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any program problems.
  • Responsible for all recruiting and hiring for the project as well as staff management.
  • Regularly communicates with staff and subcontractors to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any program problems.
  • Ensures that customers and/or clients are regularly informed of the status of the program.
  • Regularly communicates with management regarding the program's status and any problems or potential problems.
  • Forecasts potential schedule delays and develops alternate plans.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate project management and financial acumen by understanding project profitability and job-costing.
