Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a Program Manager for Testing & Commissioning to lead the oversight of all testing, commissioning, acceptance, and operational readiness for the Chicago Maintenance Facility, delivered under a Public-Private Partnership. You will serve as Amtrak’s main liaison with the developer and contractors, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance expectations are met.

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience.
• 7 years of prior experience required; 9+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, commissioning, acceptance, and operational readiness for the Chicago Maintenance Facility.
• Coordinate with P3 developer, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop plans for testing, commissioning, and transition to operations; monitor milestones and acceptance criteria.
• Identify and resolve commissioning deficiencies, punch items, risks, and warranty issues.
• Lead cross-functional readiness, including training, documentation turnover, and executive reporting.
