Job summary

Alstom in New York is seeking a Test Industrial Manager to lead the design and development of advanced testing solutions for rail systems. You will manage a team of Test & Commissioning engineers and technicians, delivering reliable performance and coordinating handovers from Manufacturing to Testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–4 years of experience in Testing & Commissioning within rail, factory automation, process industry or similar environments.
• Sound knowledge of electrical and control systems, onboard communications, and network systems.
• Understanding of electrical processes such as cabling, earthing & bonding, protection systems, and instrumentation.
• Strong people-management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Test & Commissioning engineers and technicians, providing daily direction, coaching, and support.
• Manage testing workshop planning, workload allocation, and resource availability.
• Ensure testing activities are performed according to approved procedures and acceptance criteria, with accurate recording of results.
• Coordinate the handover process from Manufacturing to Testing.
• Monitor and improve KPIs related to quality, productivity, lead time, customer acceptance, and EHS.
• Ensure the availability of required tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Consolidate test reports and communicate project performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration with Project, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer representatives.
