Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Program Manager for the SSVF program to support Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will oversee program operations, staff supervision, and collaboration with local service providers to end housing crises.

The role requires a Bachelor of Social Work or related degree with 3+ years in the field (or equivalent experience), strong communication and advocacy skills, and a commitment to VOA’s values of integrity and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or related field; 3+ years experience, or 7 years without degree, or veteran with 5 years related work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, high organization, creative problem-solving.
• Commitment to agency values: commitment, compassion, diversity, justice, integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach in local communities and supervise staff.
• Assist in budget preparation and maintenance for the program.
• Review employee case files and conduct weekly treatment team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with VA and VOA policies and procedures.
• Maintain HMIS and program databases; build relationships with service providers.
