Job summary

TRIDENT SYSTEMS LLC in Sterling, VA is seeking a Program Manager to lead one or more technically complex hardware development programs. You will own cost, schedule, risk, and customer satisfaction while interfacing with a primary customer and coordinating cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, and Contracts.

The role targets hands-on management for hardware programs in aerospace/space contexts, requiring strong PM leadership, contract acumen, and experience with SOWs and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience / combined education
• 6+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree OR 4+ years with a master’s degree (OR 10+ years in lieu of a degree)
• Experience in program management and/or technical project leadership
• Experience leading hardware development programs in aerospace, defense, space, or electronics environments
• Strong understanding of contracts, SOWs, milestones, and compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• PMP certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of technically complex hardware development programs, owning performance across cost, schedule, risk, and customer satisfaction
• Serve as primary customer interface and lead cross-functional execution
• Manage budgets, EACs, and forecasts; track labor, materials, and subcontractor costs
• Identify variances and prepare monthly financial reporting inputs
• Build and maintain integrated program schedules using Microsoft Project
• Maintain program risk registers and facilitate risk and issue reviews
• Mentor Associate Program Managers and lead cross-functional teams
• Develop inputs for SOWs and coordinate supplier issue resolution
• Provide programmatic input to proposals, schedules, cost estimates, and risk assessments
