Job summary

Abode Services is seeking a Program Manager, Services in Alameda County to lead a multidisciplinary team serving adults and families who are homeless or formerly homeless. You will supervise staff, coordinate services, and oversee housing stability plans and wraparound supports.

The role collaborates with case management partners, manages budgets, and ensures program goals align with grants and funding. A strong background in human services with leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Sociology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3 years professional experience in the human services, social work, or related field with low-income families.
• 2 years direct experience in the provision and supervision of services to individuals who are homeless and/or have extremely low incomes.
• Valid California Driver’s License, current insurance, and clean DMV record required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to all Program staff and interns.
• Provide regular and appropriate feedback including training, opportunities for professional growth, verbal and written improvement plans when needed, and regular evaluations.
• Ensure that all program staff under your leadership are meeting the goals set forth in their program grants.
• Coordinate training, schedules, caseloads, vacations, and assignments as part of program administration.
• Provide support to staff when dealing with client crises and develop ongoing housing stability interventions with staff.
• Build collaborative relationships with property management and on-site resident services staff; advocate for participants housed at various sites as needed.
• Supervise staff and provide feedback, coaching, training, and disciplinary action as needed.
• Work with staff to ensure timely and accurate data entry.
• Work with Data Specialists on reporting to funders and stakeholders on program activities.
• Monitor program contracts to maximize funding and ensure deliverables; assist with audits.
• Assist in developing policy and procedures and other program processes/documents/tools.
• Facilitate case conferencing and administrative meetings.
• Assist in developing materials, assessment tools, job descriptions, and other program processes.
