Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find an experienced Project/Program Manager V - Physical Security to support physical security design and implementation for data centers and high-security facilities.

The ideal candidate will lead security design and installation initiatives while coordinating with security teams, construction stakeholders, vendors, and other teams to manage schedules, budgets, and readiness.

Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find an experienced Project/Program Manager V - Physical Security to support physical security design and implementation for data centers and high-security facilities. This role is ideal for professionals with experience managing electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance, along with coordinating security design, construction, vendor management, and installation activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction plans, security standards, project lifecycle management, and financial tracking. Success in this role requires strong cross-functional coordination, risk management, quality control, and the ability to manage multiple security projects from planning through operational readiness.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Project/Program Manager V with 5+ years of experience in physical security design or implementation and at least 2 years of project or program management experience. This role will lead physical security design and installation initiatives for new data centers, data center expansions, and special projects.

The position will partner with security teams, construction stakeholders, vendors, and other technical and non-technical teams to manage project schedules, design compliance, installation quality, budgets, and operational readiness. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reviewing construction documents, managing vendor performance, evaluating project progress, and providing regular updates to senior leadership. Occasional travel to client facilities within a 50-mile radius may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead physical security design and installation for new data centers, expansions, and special projects.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, including specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budgets, change orders, and close-out documentation.
• Oversee security design-build activities, quality assurance, quality control, and supporting processes.
• Represent physical security requirements in construction planning meetings.
• Coordinate security acceptance, sign-off, and operational readiness validation for high-security facilities.
• Track vendor service delivery, post-installation defects, and other physical security performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project execution and resolve issues.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in physical security design and/or implementation of electronic security systems.
• Hands-on familiarity with Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and CCTV surveillance systems.
• Understanding of defense-in-depth security strategies.
• 2+ years of project or program management experience leading technical and non-technical teams.
• Familiarity with project management, design, and construction software.

Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

• 5+ years of physical security design or implementation experience with access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
• 2+ years of project/program management experience coordinating security projects, teams, vendors, and construction activities.
• Strong understanding of construction plans and design documents, along with security project lifecycle and installation management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting data center construction, expansions, or high-security facilities.
• Experience with security design-build projects, QA/QC, and operational readiness validation.
• Familiarity with vendor invoice reviews, purchase orders, project budgets, and financial tracking.
• Experience measuring vendor performance and reporting project metrics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic physical security systems and experience managing security design and installation projects in data center or construction environments. They should be able to interpret multidisciplinary construction documents, coordinate vendors and cross-functional teams, manage project costs and quality, and ensure security systems are ready for operational handover. Strong communication, project lifecycle management, and vendor oversight skills are essential for success.

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $80 - $85 Hourly on W2.
