Job summary

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a full-time Program Manager- Occupational Therapist for an Assisted Living Community in Sayville, NY. This leadership role oversees clinical staff, quality assurance, and program development while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality therapy services.

Therapy programs include collaboration with hospitals and community partners, with shifts M-F and no evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy.
• Licensure: Valid state licensure as PT/OT or license eligible.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation or related healthcare field.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred in rehab therapy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise clinical therapy staff, including hiring, performance appraisals, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
• Monitor credentials and develop corrective action plans as needed.
• Maintain a clinical caseload and ensure high-quality therapy services per regulatory standards (CARF, JCAHO).
• Develop strategies to expand therapy programs and build caseloads, including special initiatives like fitness or dementia programs.
• Oversee scheduling of patients and therapists to ensure adequate coverage and proper documentation.
• Investigate and resolve patient or staff issues and provide ongoing staff education.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid and other laws; maintain infection control and OSHA standards.
