Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Program Manager Mission Assurance 2 in Baltimore, MD to lead quality assurance for the Global Mission Solutions Business Unit on-site.

The role supervises a team of quality engineers, ensures QA tests, RCCA activities, and supplier issue disposition, and interfaces with the customer quality organization. Strong leadership and Lean/Six Sigma experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 8 years in quality/engineering/manufacturing; Master’s with 6 years; Associates with 10 years; or 12 years in lieu of degree.
• Experience working with Government agencies.
• Background in RCCA or 8D activities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
• Preferred: ISO 9001/AS9100 knowledge.
• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
• CAM experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and program functions to ensure quality standards and controlled program quality.
• Oversees a team of quality engineers supporting deliverables to enable on-time, compliant deliveries.
• Ensures QA tests are in place and performs RCCA analysis.
• Interfaces with the customer quality organization and disposition of supplier issues.
• Performs audits of quality systems for deficiencies and corrections.
• May specialize in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, reliability, inventory, or R&D.
• May hold lean/six-sigma responsibilities across multiple functional areas.
