Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Program Manager 2 to lead a key hypersonic program in Roy, UT. The role focuses on directing the full program lifecycle, from inception through completion, with accountability for cost, schedule and technical performance.

Relocation assistance may be provided. The position requires a Top Secret clearance and involves rapid development, prototyping, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years related experience; master's with 6 years or additional 4 years in lieu of degree.
• U.S. citizen with active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with ability to obtain SAP approval.
• Experience in project management/execution and closeout.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EV) in an applicable system.

Responsibilities

• Directing all phases of the program from inception through completion.
• Accountable for cost, schedule and technical performance of tooling programs.
• Act as customer contact for program activities and lead reviews of cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules; identify problems and provide solutions.
• Direct the work of employees across technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
• Collaborate across program and functional teams to ensure on-time execution.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks and maintain risk register with corrective actions.
