Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Principal Project Engineer – Level 3 in Promontory, UT, with Magna, UT as an alternate location. This role leads the technical scope from design through production for a hypersonic rocket motor, coordinating across teams and interfacing with customers.

The engineer will manage development, qualification, and manufacturing activities, travel up to 10% and ensure milestones are met with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5 years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years OR PhD with 1 year of professional experience.
• Ability to perform solid modeling using NX.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate across IPTs with fellow PEs on design, process, and quality of the product.
• Develop program execution plans and coordinate with the Program Office.
• Interface regularly with customers as the technical POC.
