Job summary

Princeton University’s Humanities Council seeks a program manager to oversee visiting fellows, professorships, grants, and core office operations, supporting the council chair and director as it merges with the Humanities Initiative in Fall 2027.

You will manage committees, events, budgets, and communications, ensuring timely materials, appointments, and reporting, while collaborating with faculty and staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum five years’ experience managing projects in academic or related settings.
  • Excellent communication with faculty, staff, and external agencies.
  • Strong organizational skills and discretion with confidential information.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Google Forms; familiarity with websites or publications.

Responsibilities

  • Academic, financial, and project management for council programs and events.
  • Prepare appointment forms and offer letters; onboard instructors and visiting faculty.
  • Maintain records; track expenses; assist with year-end reports and budgets.
  • Support council meetings, agendas, ballots, and committee materials.
  • Coordinate visits, fellow nominations, and materials for dossiers.
  • Assist with communications, website content, newsletters, and print materials.
  • Oversee events logistics and collaboration with facilities and catering.
