OpenAI is seeking a Program Manager to coordinate OpenAI’s Government Trusted Access portfolio from intake through activation and ongoing support. Based in Washington, DC, this role combines strategy with hands-on program operations across cyber and bio domains.

You will build durable operating mechanisms, maintain a portfolio view, and partner with Government-facing teams to set expectations and track commitments. Hybrid work model applies, relocation assistance offered.

Competenze

• 5–10 years in program management, strategy and operations, product operations, trust and safety, or risk operations.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs from problem statement through launch.
• Ability to translate technical, policy, safety, and security requirements into practical workflows.

Mansioni

• Coordinate government participation across Trusted Access programs, including cyber and biology.
• Own end-to-end program operating rhythm from intake to offboarding.
• Maintain a portfolio view of applicants, access levels, owners, risks, and decisions.
• Build roadmaps, ownership maps, decision logs, risk registers, dashboards.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews across OpenAI for Government, Safety, Policy, Legal, Security, Product, Research, and more.
• Preserve clear decision boundaries and keep the process moving.
• Identify bottlenecks and operational gaps and propose resolutions.
• Define expectations with government teams and track commitments.
• Define and monitor program health using metrics.
• Turn manual work into scalable workflows and tooling.
• Capture lessons and translate into reusable patterns.
