Job Summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Program Finance Manager to support its Civil Systems Group (CSG). This position provides leadership in all areas of program analytics, financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities. Specific responsibilities include direct delivery analysis, government customer interaction, tracking of funding, annual and multi-year budgeting, development of financial forecasts and planning scenarios, development and implementation of financial and operational metrics, dashboards, and capital expenditure planning, and improvements in financial and business processes as prescribed by the CSG Group CFO. This position serves as a trusted financial advisor to all levels of the CSG Division, providing the financial data, trends analysis, and predictive analytics the corporation needs to deliver its value proposition to customers and to meet its goals. This role works closely with the CSG Group CFO to ensure a consistent vision and implementation of financial policies, practices, and processes throughout The Aerospace Corporation.

Work Model

This is a full-time position based in either our Crystal City or Chantilly, VA location, offering a hybrid work model that combines 4 days onsite work and remote flexibility as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Be an integral member of the organization and corporate management teams; act as a key business advisor to senior leaders and managers; contribute to strategic planning and business processes; implement strategies.
  2. Serve as the primary interface with senior-level customers; maintain excellent relationships to identify and secure staffing and funding.
  3. Implement corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes and tools, ensuring compliance and efficiency; develop and maintain cost and schedule baselines and forecasts aligned with program requirements.
  4. Develop and manage delivery PTS and financial plans for funded activities; track budgets and perform analyses; maintain organizational statistics.
  5. Analyze financial results against plans; identify trends; communicate metrics; use data insights to recommend corrective actions.
  6. Support strategic projects at group and corporate levels.
  7. Inform leadership on financial trends and performance; recommend actions to meet financial goals.
  8. Make or recommend purchasing, investing, and delivery decisions.
  9. May manage direct reports.
What You Need to be Successful - Program Finance Manager

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
  • Eight or more years of experience in financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Strong experience with SAP S4/Hana, CRM, Dassian, and data analytics tools
  • Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Experience with various contract types and revenue recognition
  • Knowledge of cost accounting standards and government contracting systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to change

Preferred qualifications include an MBA or CPA, experience in FAR contracting, knowledge of cost standards, or prior experience in research or FFRDC environments. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.
