Job summary

The Endocrine Society in Washington, DC is seeking a Manager, Professional Development to lead assigned professional development programs and liaison work for committees and learners. This role reports to the Director, Professional and Clinical Affairs and supports early‑career engagement through programs such as ECF, eMD, and REGMS.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; experience in program or project management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Professionalism, discretion, sound judgment when traveling and engaging with members.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management: plan, timelines, deliverables, and follow‑through.
  • Strong technology skills: MS Office, databases, PM software, virtual meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned early‑career and in‑training programs (ECF, eMD, REGMS) and manage applications, communications, mentor/faculty coordination, and engagement.
  • Coordinate in-person conferences and workshops; address questions and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Support grant/funded program deliverables; collect data, maintain records, contribute to reports.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Development, Meetings, Education, Finance, Governance and other teams to coordinate timelines and materials.
  • Manage processing of honoraria and travel reimbursements; perform reconciliations with Finance.
  • Maintain program data in databases and PM tools; ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Provide responsive, member‑centered service to applicants, learners, trainees, and faculty.
  • Maintain planning tools, dashboards, and documentation to support consistency and reporting.
  • Serve as liaison for committees; prepare agendas, minutes, and follow‑ups.
  • Manage committee meetings and virtual engagement sessions; document decisions.
