Job summary

ASHP is seeking an Education Director, Special Programs to lead educational initiatives and manage CE accreditation for professional development activities in pharmacy. Hybrid position based in the Washington, DC area with salary range $125,000–$155,000 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy degree required.
• Pharmacy residency and pharmacist licensure preferred.
• Board certification preferred.
• Minimum five years in related project/association management.
• Five years in adult education and healthcare accreditation.
• Five years of pharmacy practice experience.
• Experience in authorship, peer review, publication process.
• Experience in educational design and technologies preferred.
• Ability to stay current on healthcare topics.
• Excellent organizational, communications, and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel 3–5 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Develops high-quality educational content for live and enduring programs.
• Manages CE accreditation processes and outcome analyses.
• Ensures faculty and participant satisfaction through project oversight.
• Coordinates non-CE OPDP projects and recruits faculty.
• Provides guidance to National Meetings Education staff.
• Collaborates with sections, forums, and marketing on materials.
• Supports grant proposals with scientific background.
• Analyzes educational needs and trends.
• Maintains project documentation compliant with ACCME/ACPE.
• Travel for conferences as needed.
