Job summary

ASHP is seeking an Education Director, Special Programs in Bethesda, MD. The role leads the Office of Professional Development and Publishing (OPDP) projects for pharmacists and healthcare professionals, guiding content creation and education strategy.

Hybrid work in Washington, DC area with in-person presence in Bethesda as needed. The position emphasizes CE accreditation management, faculty coordination, and collaboration across divisions to deliver high-quality educational programs.

Qualifications

• Graduation from ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Pharmacy residency training preferred.
• Pharmacist licensure preferred.
• Board certification preferred.
• Five years in related project management or association management.

Responsibilities

• Develops high-quality, evidence-based educational content for live and enduring educational activities.
• Manages Continuing Education accreditation processes and develops assessments.
• Monitors outcomes and drafts post-meeting reports for stakeholders.
• Leads non-CE OPDP projects and coordinates faculty recruitment and communications.
• Gives guidance to National Meetings Education staff and collaborates across divisions.
• Works with marketing to develop promotional materials and approves content.
• Supports program proposals with scientific background for grants and projects.
• Analyzes educational needs and trends related to outcomes.
