Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services field and one year experience working directly with individuals with Intellectual or other Developmental Disabilities.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials; write reports and communicate with groups.
• Ability to supervise, coach, and train staff and manage program activities.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a full member of the individual’s support network; develop a comprehensive plan and ensure supports are implemented.
• Ensure participants have opportunities to engage in the community; develop relationships for employment and social experiences.
• Report on participant progress to the participant and support network; document timely and accurately.
• Establish constructive working relationships with participants and their support network to meet needs and desires.
• Ensure agency policies and philosophy are communicated to participants and staff.
• Supervise direct care staff (interviewing, hiring, training, coaching; planning and directing work; evaluating performance).
• Aide in agency development by promoting volunteerism and community awareness.
