Job summary

Metropolitan Family Services seeks a Program Manager of Community Safety & Transit Operations to lead a team across field operations in Chicago. The role focuses on staff supervision, training fidelity, and cross-agency collaboration to reduce violence and improve youth safety in transit environments.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in training or street outreach, plus experience supervising field leaders. Travel by car is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public health, criminology, sociology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in training, street outreach, or equivalent.
• Experience supervising field managers or operations leaders.
• Experience operating violence interruption or community safety programs in mobile or 24-hour environments.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Senior Field Managers coordinating staffing, schedules, and deployment.
• Foster open communication and collaboration among field staff and partners.
• Ensure training and standards are operationalized with fidelity in the field.
• Coordinate violence intervention, de-escalation, and situational awareness training.
• Provide technical support and evaluate practice using feedback and data.
