Job summary

Metropolitan Family Services seeks a Program Manager of Community Safety & Transit Operations to lead Metropolitan Peace Initiatives. The role focuses on supervising field operations, coordinating training, and aligning with community partners to reduce violence in high-traffic transit environments.

The position emphasizes youth safety, collaboration with public officials, and staff development. Requires education in public policy/health/criminology and leadership experience in mobile or 24/7

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in training, street outreach or equivalent.
• Experience supervising field managers or operations leaders.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Ability to develop curriculum and coordinate trainings.
• Experience operating violence interruption or community safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise Senior Field Managers coordinating staffing, schedules, and deployment.
• Foster open communication and collaboration among field staff and partners.
• Ensure training and standards are operationalized with fidelity in the field.
• Coordinate training programs for violence intervention and de-escalation.
• Provide technical support and evaluative feedback to field operations.
• Participate in forums and strategy sessions with community members and officials.
• Authorize personnel actions in consultation with HR and promote staff diversity.
