Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a Recreation Program Manager for the Parks and Community Services department in Dripping Springs, Texas. You will lead development, coordination, and implementation of year-round programming for youth and adults, overseeing staff and operations.

You will manage budgeting, payments, facility maintenance, safety, partnerships, and marketing materials while ensuring high service standards and alignment with the City Master Plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of related experience (or equivalent).
• CPRP certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Manages front-facing operations for programs and events; provides proactive customer service.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates PCS programs to align with the City Master Plan.
• Oversees youth camps and after-school programs; ensures safe, positive environments.
• Maintains safety and risk management, and enforces city rules for facilities.
• Coordinates transportation and manages city-owned vehicles per regulations.
• Recruits, trains, and supervises program staff and contracted instructors.
• Manages inventory, purchasing, and budget expenditures for recreational programs.
• Drafts newsletters and maintains the PCS website, calendar, and CivicRec system.
• Performs facility maintenance and cash-handling with accurate reconciliation.
• Fosters community partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
