Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field.
• Seven (7) years of full-time progressively responsible experience in parks and recreation administration.
• Three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Parks and Recreation Director in providing direction and communicating the vision to staff.
• Provide direct and indirect supervision to assigned divisions and staff; supervise and develop personnel.
• Assist in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and regulations for department activities.
• Coordinate capital improvement projects with managers and personnel; manage budgets and reports.
• Represent the department at City board, task force and Council meetings; present agenda items.
