Job summary

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse seeks a Program Manager for the Center for Civil Dialogue and Civic Engagement (CDCE) to lead daily operations, develop educational programming, and foster belonging and cross-cultural understanding across student groups and campus partners.

The role emphasizes responsive service, data-driven program assessment, and collaboration with departments to support student success and campus climate initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, sociology, ethnic & racial studies, communications, or related field required.
• Minimum of 3+ years' experience working with students from varying backgrounds and understanding barriers to student success.
• Experience coordinating large-scale campus events including budgeting, assessment, and logistics.
• Experience designing and leading educational workshops and professional development.
• Experience training and supervising student staff.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage CDCE website, social media, and marketing materials.
• Assist the director with End of Year and AIDAC reports.
• Support budget planning, manage purchases, invoices, and financial records reconciliation.
• Collaborate with campus departments and community partners to align with UWL’s mission.
