Job summary

University of Wisconsin-La Crosse seeks a Data and Program Operation Specialist to support the Small Business Development Center and related campus outreach activities. The role covers program operations, budgeting, data reporting, and stakeholder communications.

You will assist with grant and financial management, maintain records, manage schedules, train staff and students, and help promote outreach programs. This fixed-term appointment may offer some remote work depending on needs.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; related experience may substitute.
• Experience with business and financial data, budgets, and grants.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to work independently or in a team.
• Familiarity with Workday, CRM, Zoho, Backstage, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations for the SBDC and associated programs.
• Assist in financial and grant management, reporting, and data analysis.
• Coordinate hiring processes and recruit student employees.
• Maintain office records, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
• Support outreach, events, and communications using CRM and websites.
